Closed Doors, Opened Windows

Yes, that title is an allusion to The Sound of Music, in case you wondering. :) We received an email from Sarah Magaret Page (one of the Cherokee house coordinators and a relative of our own beloved Page family), in which she told us that the orphanage where we had hoped to work no longer accepts outside volunteers. (They are a branch of Mother Teresa's Sisters of Mercy and now only accept nuns. Bummerrrr.) However there are lots of other opportunities for volunteering, so we're hopeful and confident that we'll find a good placement. But we can add that to the prayer request list for now!

Amesegënallô Ethiopia!

Our visas finally arrived! Which was a relief as we leave Sunday morning and our passports were in the Ethiopian embassy in DC. I (Sara) was worried we were going nowhereee. But they arrived yesterday... thanks for the prayers for that situation. So, thanks for the green light, Ethiopia- we'll be there Monday!
